acquisition of USG Corporation (the US), a leading manufacturer and distributor

Knauf has
manufacturing operations in regions such as MEA, Asia, and Central & South
America. However, Knauf previously did not have a significant presence in the
US drywall and plaster market, where USG is the industry leader. Combining the
second and third-largest producers globally, the acquisition strengthens
Knauf's competitive position in the world of drywall and building plaster
industry, significantly.
